BSc Botany Subsidiary 2nd Year का Syllabus नेचे लिखा हुआ है।BSc Botany Subsidiary Paper has two Parts first part is Theory Paper-2 of 75 Marks and Practical Paper-2 of 25 Marks. That means there are total 100 Marks Obtained in 2nd Year.

Full Marks: 75
Each Year: There shall be one paper consisting of theory of 75 marks and practical carrying 25 marks, each of three hours duration.

Angiosperms
Morphology and Taxonomy:
- Importance of classification of angiosperms with reference to the systems of Bentham and Hooker and Hutchinson.
- Binomial nomenclature.
- A Comparative account of the diagnostic features and economic importance of the following families
Ranunculaceae, Convolvulaceae, Myrtaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Asclepiadaceae, Acanthaceae, Polygonaceae Verbenaceae, Scorophulariaceae, Musaceae and Poaceae.
Anatomy
- Tissue and tissue systems.
- Meristems.
- Organisation of tissues in relation to environment.
- Initiation and activity of cambium including abnormal secondary growth in stems of Amaranthus, Nyctanthes and Tinospora.
Embryology
Life-cycle of a typical flowering plant, development of pollen ovule and embryo sac.
fertilization, endosperm and embryo.
Plant Physiology
- Protoplasm – Physical and Chemical nature.
- Osmosis – OP, DPD, TP and WP, Permeability, Plasmolysis.
- Water relation – Absorption, Ascent of sap and Transpiration.
- Enzymes – Nature and properties.
- Photosynthesis-Photophosphorylation, Calvin cycle and factors affecting photosynthesis.
- Respiration-Glycolysis,Krebscycle and Factors affecting respiration.
- Phytohormones – Auxins and Gibberellins.
- Photoperiodism.
Environmental Biology:
- Ecological factors.
- Plant communities & ecosystem
- Succession (Hydrosphere & Zerosphere)
- Pollution (Water and Air)
