BRABU BSc Botany Honors Part-2 Syllabus: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University Under Graduation / BSc Botany Honors 2nd Year Syllabus are written in this Article.
BSc Botany Honors will completed in 3 Yeas. Out of which 2nd Year Conducted Honors Paper-3 of 75 Marks and Honors Paper-4 (75 Marks) of Total Theory Paper will be held for 150 Marks as well as Practical Paper-2 of 50 Marks also Occur in that Year.

Honors Paper-III (Theory)
Ten questions to be set, four from Group A and six from Group B, five to be answered, two from Group A and three from Group B.
Gymnosperms & Angiosperms
Gymnosperms:
- Comparative study of the morphological, anatomical, embryological features, economic importance and affinities of Gymnosperms with reference to the following taxa- Pinus, Taxus and Gnetum.
- Fossils – Definition, conditions for fossilization, modes of preservation.
- Type – Lyginopteris and Cycadeoidea.
Angiosperms
- Principles of plant taxonomy and knowledge of classifications of parts as proposed by Linnaeus, Bentham and Hooker, Engler and Pranti and Hutchinson.
- Interactional Code of Botanical nomenclature and its application, Modem trends in plant taxonomy with reference to embryology, cytology and phytochemistry.
- A comparative account, diagnostic features, floral ranges and relationship of the following families:
Renunculaceae, Annonaceae, Nyctaginaceae, Apocyanaceae, Polygonaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Verbenaceae, Boraginaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae, acanthaceae, Commelinaceae, Cyperaceae, Poaceae, Orchidaceae.
- Mendelian principles and its modification.

- Root-stem transition.
- Mechanical tissue.
- Periderm.
- Organization of tissue in relation to environment (Ecological Anatomy).
- Anomolous secondary growth in Bignonia, Nyctanthes, Achyranthes, Boerhaavia, Tecoma, Dracaena
Group-B
Embryology
- Various developmetal processes in microsporogenesis, male gametophyte, megasporogenesis, female gametophyte, fertilization, apomixis, endosperm, embryogeny and polyembryony.
- Importance of anther and embryo culture
Group-C
- Important medicinal plants of Bihar.
- Systematic position botanical name and economic importance of the following.
- Oil Seeds-Mustard, Sunflower, Linseed, Seasamum and Ground nut.
- Pulses – Gram, Pigeon-peas, green gram (mung), Lentil (Masoor) and Pea.
- Cereals – Rice, Wheat, Barley, Maize and Ragi.
- Fruits – Litchi, Mango, Banana, Guava and Makhana.
- Vegetables – Potato, Brinjal, Cauliflower, Spinach and Ladies finger.
- Timber – Teak, Sal, Sisham, Jamun, Mahogani.
- Principles of plant tissue culture and its significance.
- Biogas and its importance.
